A Future and A Hope

There is indeed a time for all that happens in life. Since 1895, through the ministry of Cunningham, God's love has been shared with over 5,000 children and youth. With the support, prayers and commitment of friends and staff the youth at Cunningham are learning to become independent and lead meaningful, productive lives. The children and youth of Cunningham Children's Home do have a future and a hope.

"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord.
Plans for good and not for evil.
Plans for a future and a hope."

- Jeremiah, 29:11

Cunningham Children's Home gratefully acknowledges the contribution of Mary Bernice Carney to the historical information contained in this article. Ms. Carney's research and historical case study of the organizational transformation of Cunningham Children's Home from an orphanage to a residential treatment center has been an invaluable resource in our historical research. Cunningham also wishes to credit Dorothy Miller O'Donnell's biographical work for information about the lives of Judge and Mrs. Cunningham.
