Cunningham Children's Home was recently recognized as an outstanding organization serving children and youth, receiving a local "Children's Champion" award from National City Bank and Voices for Illinois Children.
On September 26, National City Bank President Larry Clipp of Urbana (pictured, left) presented Cunningham President and CEO Sam Banks (right) with the award. Hundreds of nominations were received by National City from around Illinois, and Cunningham was one of only 34 finalists to receive local awards and be considered for statewide recognition.
According to Voices for Illinois Children, "The National City Bank Children’s Champion Award...is designed to honor organizations that contribute in an exemplary way to children being safe, healthy, loved, and well-educated."
More on the statewide award winner and local finalists for the Children's Champion Award can be found at the Voices for Illinois Children website or on msn.com.
