Cunningham’s success with youth depends in large part on the quality of our staff. From the cottage counselor who comforts a child who wakes from a nightmare at night, to our teachers, nurses, therapists and supervisors, our kids deserve the very best staff.

Cunningham is blessed by dedicated, skilled individuals at all levels. Recently, the agency made a new investment in employees by creating the “ Cunningham Leadership Academy,” (CLA) an intensive management training program.

Studies show that one of the most important keys to retaining quality employees is providing them with supportive and effective supervision. The CLA seeks to train supervisors to live up to the highest standards of management best practices.

The goals of program include increasing teamwork, encouraging positive morale, minimizing turnover, enhancing the skills of existing leaders, and continuing to increase the quality of care and services we provide to our youth.
