Announcing Our New President and CEO
The Board of Directors of Cunningham Children’s Home has announced the appointment of Marlin Livingston as the new President and CEO of Cunningham Children’s Home.
Livingston brings nearly 20 years of experience in the child welfare field, most recently serving as Executive Director of Kids Hope United—Florida Region. In this role, Livingston has overseen operations of community-based child welfare services in six counties in central and south Florida.
In many ways, assuming the role as President and CEO of Cunningham is a homecoming for Livingston, who served as a therapist and cottage director at Cunningham Children’s Home during the 1990’s.
Board Member and Search Committee Chair Cathy Henschen described the process of finding a new President and CEO for Cunningham as, “one of the most important decisions we as Board members will ever make for this agency.”
She continued, “We worked hard to identify and select a candidate who could build on the excellence of our staff and leadership and take the agency to the next level. The search committee was proud to reach a unanimous decision in recommending Marlin to be our next outstanding CEO.”
In making the announcement, Board President Casey Andrew cited Livingston’s proven leadership as well as his roots and connection to Cunningham Children’s Home. She said, “We are excited to find a leader whose vision and skills will be able to complement the excellence already present among our agency leadership.”
She continued, “Marlin’s deep personal and professional commitment to children and adolescents has been exemplified throughout his career. We are confident that he will lead the agency to even greater heights of effectiveness and service excellence on behalf of kids.”
