A Chapel of Hope

Cunningham Children's Home has long been a sanctuary for children in need. Spiritual healing, exploration and growth have always been essential to life at Cunningham Children's Home.

As part of our new Spritual Life Center, currently under construction, Cunningham is raising funds to dedicate the "United Methodist Women’s Chapel of Hope." This chapel will honor the 111-year relationship between United Methodist Women and Cunningham children and youth.

During its first half-century, all children at Cunningham were able to regularly attend the First United Methodist Church in Urbana. Now, due to the special needs our our kids, they are not emotionally prepared or behaviorally ready to worship within the community.

The "United Methodist Women’s Chapel of Hope" will be a sanctuary and meeting place for all those connected with the Cunningham mission and ministry—past, present and future.

Cunningham would like to thank all of the United Methodist Women for their financial and prayerful support of this very important project!

For more on the fundraising effort for the United Methodist Women's Chapel of Hope, read about our District Projects or learn more about the Lighting the Way Capital Campaign.

Or check out the Master Campus Plan section of our website for more information about the Spiritual Life Center and for our latest photos of construction.
