Thank you for a Successful Festival of Quilts!

Thank you for making the 11th Annual Festival of Quilts a success!

Cunningham Children's Home would like to thank everyone who supported the 11th Annual Festival of Quilts on April 10 and 11. Your generosity has made a direct impact on the lives of the more than 275 youth and families that we serve each year. We are grateful to have a caring community that comes around our kids to offer healing and hope.

Once again, the quilt show and auction attracted large crowds. Quilters donated more than 120 quilts of all styles, shapes and colors for everyone to enjoy. Here are the winners of this year's Festival of Quilts Show:

We want to give a GIANT thank you to our sponsors - area businesses, organizations, and individuals who provided financial support - as well as those who donated quilts, crafts and baked goods for the Festival.

In addition, we could not do this without the work of dedicated volunteers. Thank you to the Festival of Quilts Committee, including the co-leaders Judy Gamble and Helen Kershaw, and everyone who gave of your time to make this year a success.

The Festival of Quilts celebrates a special tradition at Cunningham; since 1895, every young person that comes to live at Cunningham is given a hand-made quilt to enjoy and treasure forever. The quilts are lovingly created by United Methodist Women and other members of the quilting community throughout Illinois who care about Cunningham youth. Every quilt represents the warmth, comfort and hope that are offered to our kids.
