Carrie has over 19 years experience working with children, teenagers, adults, and families providing child welfare and clinical services. She has worked extensively with children and adults who have experienced chronic and complex traumas in their lives.
Carrie also has experience in treating a variety of mental health issues including mood disorders, ADHD, parent-child attachment/relational issues, anxiety, and childhood behavioral issues.
Carrie is trained and working to be certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Theraplay. She also utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other treatment approaches in her individual and family work with children, teenagers, and adults. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
Education: Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois
