Angie is the Director of Community Services at Cunningham Children’s Home and oversees several community-based child welfare and mental health programs including HopeSprings Counseling Services. She has more than 25 years of experience working with people across the lifespan with two areas of focus: helping to improve family and partner relationships and providing healing to those who have faced traumatic or adverse life events. She has direct clinical practice as well as experience in supervisory and administrative roles.
Angie is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR); Family Systems, and Cognitive-Behavioral Approaches. Under the mentorship of Dr. Bruce Perry, she completed the certification process for NMT (Neurosequential Models of Therapeutics). She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a certificate in Geriatrics for Non-Physicians.
Education: Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois with a concentration in Psychology; Master of Science in Human and Community Development and a Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois
