Christmas Time Is Here

Christmas Time Is Here

"Christmas Time Is Here" by Vince Guaraldi
Christmas time is here
Happiness and cheer
Fun for all that children call
Their favorite time of the year

Because of the generosity of friends like you, these lyrics from A Charlie Brown Christmas still ring true at Cunningham Children's Home. Cunningham youth are able to enjoy all the season has to offer, including:

  • Activities like sledding, shopping for loved ones, and baking cookies.
  • Celebrations like the Christmas story, a Walk through Bethlehem, and a candlelit service.
  • Experiences like a visit with Santa, trimming the tree, singing carols, and opening presents selected just for them.

Volunteers perform the live nativity for our kids during the Walk Through Bethlehem.

Many groups and individuals choose to give gifts during the holiday season. Here are some ideas of how you might get involved this year:

Purchase Gifts from our Wish List Our wish list is full of general items our kids typically need at Christmas time. We also have an Amazon Wish List online filled with items our kids have requested. Simply search for "Cunningham Children's Home"

Buy Gifts for a Specific Number of Youth Some groups enjoy shopping for specific items for a Cunningham child. If you'd like to purchase gifts that a child has requested, please let us know how many names you'd like and whether you have any other preference, like age or gender. We will prepare and send a list to you with names, ages, and gift ideas for each youth.

Help Support the "Kids Shop for Loved Ones" During the Christmas season our kids want to give gifts to their loved ones too. We set up the "Kids Shop" filled with donated items from our friends like you. The youth can select the perfect items and have them wrapped for the people they care for most. It's a special time when our youth have the opportunity to experience the joy of generosity. Items such as candles, costume jewelry, scarves, wallets for men and women, toys, games and puzzles for younger siblings, basketballs or footballs as well as small gift items for men are all in high demand when our kids "shop" for their loved ones.

We ask that all gifts be delivered to the Spiritual Life Center at Cunningham by Tuesday, December 1, 2015.

All gifts must be unwrapped. Questions? Contact Bernice Dallas at 217.337.9058 or at
