Our Kids Respond to a Generous Gesture

Our Kids Respond to a Generous Gesture

Over the past 9 years, the 4xFools Offroad Club has brought smiles to the faces of many Cunningham youth.

The club brings their vehicles - mostly Jeeps but also other 4 by 4 offroad vehicles - to Cunningham for a "show and shine." The club members have the opportunity to show off their "toys" and the kids get the chance to see them up close.

Our kids inspect every vehicle and vote on their favorites in a number of categories. After voting, they get ice cream, courtesy of the Sidney Dairy Barn. This year, Dairy Barn owners Dennis and Marcia Riggs, who are active members of the 4xFools, brought their "Mini-Moo," a smaller version of the popular "Moo-mobile," and made sure there were plenty of frozen treats for the kids. The 4xFools also donated funds to help with newcomer baskets which are used to welcome youth to Cunningham.

After this year's event, Cunningham kids responded with great appreciation.

One of the boys thanked Chaplain Melvin for letting the club come to the event and the other boys in his unit followed suit.

The girls at New Hope created handmade thank you notes for each 4xFool member who brought their vehicle for them to see. They colored the notes (see right) and signed each one with an individual message.

Through the generosity of the 4xFools, our youth had a positive, fun day and experienced the joy of gratitude.
