The 20th Annual Festival of Quilts has OFFICIALLY begun! Join us at the Spiritual Life Center located on our campus in Urbana at 1301 N. Cunningham Avenue, where we eagerly anticipate welcoming you with open arms and warm smiles! Our hours are Friday, April 12 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the Festival of Quilts, an event brimming with delights for all. Peruse through an array of exquisite quilts, adorned with meticulous craftsmanship, available for purchase both in person and online. The Gift Shop and Centerpieces & Such rooms are overflowing with amazing items of all kind. And the Bake Sale… let’s just say YUM!

About
Young people are referred to Cunningham for many reasons, including a history of abuse, neglect, trauma and mental health issues. Many have experienced rejection and loss. Cunningham offers opportunities for healing and hope. When youth arrive at Cunningham, they are greeted with a welcome basket filled with personal hygiene products and a handmade quilt that is theirs to keep. Since Cunningham opened in 1895, United Women in Faith and quilters from across Illinois have made quilts for our kids. Thanks to them, thousands of young lives have been wrapped in warmth, safety and love.
Each year, hundreds of visitors visit our campus for our signature fundraiser, the Festival of Quilts which honors this beautiful quilt tradition. Proceeds from the Festival of Quilts benefit the more than 800 youth and families Cunningham serves each year.
The Festival includes:
- A quilt show with hand and machine quilted pieces including contemporary designs as well as antique quilts on loan for display and admiration
- A quilt sale featuring beautiful traditional and contemporary quilts and wall hangings
- Centerpieces and Such with unique and decorative items our supporters have decorated, enhanced and “made their own” available for purchase
- A gift shop packed with generously donated handcrafted items
- A bake sale with delicious homemade goodies and treats
- Campus tours of our Urbana campus to learn more about our mission and ministry
