About

Volunteers play an important role at Cunningham. As instruments of hope, they help support our vision “to see every child thrive. Whether an individual, a group or a business or organization, we have opportunities for you to help out in meaningful ways, no matter your interests or schedule. The potential for creative volunteering opportunities is limitless!

Opportunities

Events:

We hold several fundraising events annually, such as the Be a Hero 5K, Luminaries of Hope and Live Nativity, the Festival of Quilts, and the Kendall Gill Golf Benefit. These events count on volunteers for tasks like event setup and breakdown, registration, greeting guests, and more. Volunteers are also essential for other celebrations and Christmas activities, some of which take place during business hours, evenings, and weekends.

Group Projects:

We often have opportunities that require a number of volunteers and would welcome help from your group, business or organization. Groups have wrapped Christmas presents, acted in our Live Nativity, washed agency cars, organized storage areas and more.

Share Your Skills:

We encourage people with special skills or unique talents to reach out to us to explore further volunteer options. Volunteers with special skills have organized events like dance classes, car shows, music concerts, sports clinics, reading sessions for students and STEM presentations.

Where to Start: Volunteer Orientation

Volunteer Orientation is an opportunity to learn more about Cunningham and the work we do with youth, families and individuals. Orientation is required for anyone who is interested in working directly with our youth.
