Carrie has 21 years of experience working with children, teenagers, adults, and families providing child welfare and clinical services and has worked extensively with children and adults who have experienced chronic and complex traumas in their lives.
Carrie has treated a variety of mental health issues including mood disorders, ADHD, parent-child attachment difficulties, relational issues, anxiety, and childhood behavioral issues. She has provided services including individual therapy, family therapy, couples therapy, and group work.
Trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and SPARCS, Carrie utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as other treatment approaches in her individual and family work with children, teenagers, and adults.
Carrie is a certified Practicewise MAP (Managing and Adapting Practice) therapist, a certified foundational level Theraplay practitioner, and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
Education: Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois
