Samantha Spellman, MSW – Therapist

Samantha has over seven years experience delivering mental health and behavioral support services to children, adolescents, young adults, and families experiencing relational, financial, physical and/or mental hardship. She has worked in a number of settings that include educational institutions, client homes, residential facilities, a college preparatory agency, community college, early intervention clinics for children with Autism, as well as a National Suicide and Crisis Hotline. 
 
Throughout her career, Samantha  has delivered strengths-based  and trauma-focused  therapy, psychoeducation about  the effects of trauma and other mental health challenges, facilitated group therapy, implemented social-emotional learning curriculums, provided case management, and implemented Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with individuals with Autism Spectrum disorders. Additionally, Samantha is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
 
It is Samantha’s goal to be a source of support and kindness for individuals and families that have endured adverse life experiences. Through the implementation of evidence-based practice and the foundation of a strong therapeutic alliance between provider and client, Samantha believes everyone can learn, grow, and healing can happen!
 
Education: Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Illinois State University; Master of Social work from Saint Louis University
