Cunningham Gift Funds

Support our kids through a variety of funds.

Your donation can be directed to the fund of your choice.

Options include:

The Kids’ Daily Needs Fund supports the most critical, ongoing needs of our kids day to day. This fund is unrestricted and used to cover operating expenses so the agency can fill the gap between reimbursement from referring agencies and the true cost of care for our kids.

The following funds have been established by donors to support services that are not covered by our general operation budget:

The Goodhue Family Fund was established to provide former clients and families of current clients with financial support in times of crisis. It is considered a no-interest loan fund and is most often used to assist with housing, utilities, and medical bills. Loans may be forgiven if it appears repaying the loan will cause further hardship.

The Marlene Mitchell Vocational Fund was established by Kent and Marlene Mitchell, longtime supporters of Cunningham and members of Faith United Methodist Church in Champaign, to provide funds for our youth to help them develop life and workplace skills and improve their chances of getting a job and maintaining employment. These resources are used yearly to support the Vocational Options program which provides vocational training to all eligible Cunningham youth.

The Massock Special Needs Fund was established by the family of the late Lucille Massock, a former Cunningham Children’s Home Board member and member of the United Methodist Women, to honor her service to our kids. This fund is used to cover items for current clients and their families that would not otherwise be covered by other funds. Monies have been used to cover medical expenses including root canals, braces, and eye glasses as well as other necessary items.

The William P. Myers Education Fund was established by the late Bill Myers and his wife, Adele, to support current and former clients who need assistance with furthering their education. This ranges from support to attend graduate school, trade school or complete a GED. Funds are distributed on a case by case basis with referrals coming from staff or directly from the client.
