Announcing our 2023 Festival total!

You helped raise $67,204 for Cunningham kids!

"Traveling from OH home to CA…we spotted your sign…loved the quilt show….came away with a vintage quilt, blackberry jam, chocolate chip cookies, banana bread and a few free books….met Peggy and Brooke…delightful group of people, inspirational show…Thank you!"

That's what Sharon Rose Marcum wrote on our Facebook page after attending the 19th Annual Festival of Quilts. She and her husband, Bruce, stopped for breakfast at nearby Cracker Barrel and happened upon a Festival sign.

"Such an amazing series of perfect moments that allowed us to meet and have fellowship today," Brooke, Cunningham Associate Director of Advancement, responded back to Sharon. "So glad you and Bruce stumbled across our sign and that you were part of today's Festival of Quilts magic!"

And our annual Festival of Quilts is magic.Families and friends from all over the place spend a couple hours with us and while they are enjoying all the Festival has to offer, they are helping support those we serve at Cunningham. It's true. Friend and donors like you understand the importance of fundraisers like the Festival where proceeds help fund the many programs that provide hope and healing to the more than 800 youth and families Cunningham serves each year. And that's pretty magical.

Summing up her visit, Sharon said, "So fun…great for the kids…also a sweet community event for everyone to come together."

Sharon hit the nail on the head! We love how the Festival brings out families in our community, especially mothers and daughters.

But the sons had a ball as well! From the delicious banana bread from thebake sale to wanting his picture in front of his favorite show quilt, these youngsters had smiles on their faces from ear to ear!

Visitors got to see their support in action as the Festival also provided a work experience for our youth who participate in our Vocational Options program. These young people had the opportunity to serve complimentary water and coffee to our patrons who visited our new on-campus coffee shop, Cup of Hope!

THANK YOUR to our Festival sponsors, quilt makers, bakers, crafters, quilt purchasers, patrons and volunteers! Your generosity contributed to a wonderful experience at the 19th Annual Festival of Quilts!
