Endangered Species takes Best of Show at 18th Annual Festival of Quilts

For a second straight year, our show quilts were judged and voted on by The Cedars Society.

In 1895, Judge Joe and Mary Cunningham put their legacy gift plan into action by deeding “The Cedars” to the Woman’s Home Missionary Society of the Methodist Church to be used as an orphanage—known today as Cunningham Children’s Home. The Cedars Society honors those who have made a legacy gift in their will or estate plan to help provide care for Cunningham youth long into the future.

On Thursday, June 2, 2022, members of The Cedars Society were treated to a Festival of Quilts VIP Preview during which time they “voted” by ranking the show quilts. Earlier that same evening, our young ladies from the Girls Group Home also had the opportunity to rank their favorites. Votes were tallied and the following ribbons were awarded:
